Intentional. Compassionate. Comprehensive.
A trusting relationship is foundational to the therapeutic process. We are intentional about building relationships that foster healing and growth through our non-judgmental, trauma-informed, collaborative style. We listen. We work to understand. And together, we work towards healing.
We also incorporate a variety of evidence-based therapeutic tools into our work, including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
Mindfulness and Mind-Body Therapy
Due to the nature of our work, we often combine these psychological tools with an emphasis on body awareness at a gentle, trauma-aware pace.
Starting Therapy: What to expect
Starting therapy, for the first time or the tenth, can feel overwhelming.
How do you tell your story? How will anyone ever understand?
Trust us to guide you through this process. We're on your team now.
1. No-cost consultation
First, you will schedule a no-cost 15-minute consultation, by phone or by zoom. This consultation is an opportunity to discuss your goals and your challenges and to learn more about how we work. If you have been referred directly to one of our providers, then you will have this consultation with that person. If you are unsure who to work with, then we will help guide you based on your needs and our availability. Reach out here to set up this consultation.
2. Your "paper"work
Once you have completed your no-cost consultation and have scheduled your first appointment, you will be asked to join our online client portal. The portal is very simple to use and nothing needs to be downloaded. In the portal, you will be asked to complete a consent form and other standard privacy agreements. These forms typically take 10-15 minutes to complete. all online, and they need to be completed prior to your face-to-face in-person or virtual meeting.
3. Your treatment
You will decide, with your therapist, whether to meet weekly (or more or less often) and also on how long each session should last. We offer 30-, 50- or 90-minute appointments, and the decision is based on your needs and preferences, in consultation with your therapist.
See our areas of expertise to learn more, but you can also feel confident that we are highly experienced professionals who have a depth of experience far beyond what can be described on a website.

How we work together may vary over time. Sometimes, during a difficult period, you may need to meet with your therapist weekly. Other times, you may feel well and not need to meet as often. Know that we see our role as a long-term support system for you.
You can count on us to support you over the long-haul.
